What is 80 Plus?
The 80 Plus standard is an industry set efficiency level rating. Certified 80 plus power supplies have a minimum of an 80% efficiency rating at transforming AC electricity from your wall socket, in to usable DC current for your PC. In addition to the 80 plus certification there are additional levels of efficiency labeled Bronze (up to 85%), Silver (up to 88%), Gold (up to 90%), Platinum (up to 92%) and Titanium (up to 94%). 80 plus certified power supplies are not only more efficient but are built to meet a higher quality standard and are extremely reliable.
